  1. To Unprotect Infiltrator from MINDSCAPE
  2.  
  3. This Method only works for the Fixed Disk and is quite simple
  4.  
  5. First:
  6.       Copy all the files from the Infiltrator diskette into
  7.       a subdirectory on your C: or D: drive
  8.       {Subdirectory name doesn't matter}
  9.  
  10. Second:
  11.       On the C: drive ROOT directory type
  12.       COPY CON C:\IBMAA.COM
  13.       <space>^Z
  14.       this creates a dummy 1 byte file on the C: drive
  15.  
  16. Third:
  17.       That's it!  the program only needs to see this file on the
  18.       C: ROOT directory and will run quite normally, EVEN on the
  19.       IBM AT (even though the program runs far too fast on an AT)
  20.  
  21.  What inspired me to unprotect this program was the Protection
  22.  Sceme used on the Infiltrator diskette would not work on an AT!
  23.  The EGA graphics are 320 x 200 BUT in 16 COLOR!

  25. Note:  MINDSCAPE also has a program called 'BALANCE OF POWER'
  26.        it is quite good BUT the Fixed disk protection sceme is
  27.        awful. it appears they tell DOS you have a BAD TRACK
  28.        on the last track of your Fixed disk!  this shows up using
  29.        the NORTON UTILITIES map disk feature.
  30.        I would love any info on Either UNINSTALLING the BOP
  31.        program or Patching the file.  As it stands, I cannot
  32.        backup the HD and reinstall the game.  MINDSCAPE did not
  33.        allow for uninstalling this program although Infiltrator
  34.        does.
